UPDATE: Retail employee hides 122 plastic ducks around store on day of auditor's visit, boss writes them up: 'He couldn't even keep a straight face'

This retail employee has a bag of 240 plastic ducks and a big imagination! 

If you have $10 and a whimsical spirit, you too can totally duck up your workplace, home, or friend's house. That's right: for a mere $10, you too can own 240 very small plastic duck figurines and do with them as you wish. You could use them for art projects or let your kids play with them. Or you could make people think of you every time they discover a tiny plastic duck hidden somewhere, which is exactly what this person did to their boss. 

As you can read about in the story and subsequent updates, their boss found this very, very funny. The boss and the employee seem to have a sweet ongoing banter going on — they're clearly trying to make the most of their time in the retail store together. However, this person did get banned from putting ducks on the sales floor. But no one said anything about fully ducking up the back room! 

After that, read the reason that this person won't be returning to a coffee shop after disagreeing with a barista over a single penny: "The entitlement of these people."

    Noodler_Can... OP UPDATE for clarification: no i did not get in actual trouble. Though an auditor did come the day before and give us a couple points off for the visible ducks on the sales floor. The memo is entirely a joke that my manager typed out and printed to read off to me while pretending i was in trouble, then he couldnt

    Update #1:

    Hi again, i made the post about hiding ducks around the store i work at and the fake "disciplinary" letter my boss. made as a prank. I have since continued to hide ducks in the non sales-floor areas and found that elmer fudd has been doing some hunting. Of course, the ducks had to avenge their beheaded brethren in return.

    Attakmoosegomer I love this! I just recently partied at a hotel that was actively hiding rubber ducks as a gimmick for Easter. I also had a lady at the place | live who used to put the tiny plastic/glass ducks everywhere for kids to find.

    foofie_fightie I hid 15 plastic dinosaurs around a shop and told everyone that if you find one, I'll buy you a prize (soda or candy of choice). I didnt tell anyone where they were. Only two were found the first day and I was let go the day after that. They spent months coming across dinos and got no prize... sad.
